I haven’t gone through the Omnivore or Vegetarian’s 100, but this one I’m doing. I’m considering it more of a “to make” list. I believe this particular list comes from Cakespy.
Things I haven’t eaten/made in plain text, things I’ve eaten but not made in bold, and things I’ve made preceded by asterisks. As it’s a dessert list, I don’t think there’s anything here I wouldn’t eat…though there are things I SHOULDN’T eat (Dutch baby, anyone? Oof).
- Red Velvet Cake (ok, I see the appeal now, but they’re way too rich for me!)
- Princess Torte
- *Whoopie Pie
- Apple Pie either topped or baked with sharp cheddar (many pies, no cheddar…next fall!)
- Beignet
- *Baklava (made a couple times in high school, would like to try again with homemade phyllo)
- Black and white cookie
- Seven Layer Bar
- Fried Fruit pie
- Kringle
- Just-fried (still hot) doughnut (had them really fresh, but not THAT fresh)

- Halvah

- Croquembouche
- Girl Scout cookies (overrated)

- Candy Apple
- Baked Alaska
- Brooklyn Egg Cream
- Nanaimo bar

- Tres Leches Cake
- Trifle
- Shoofly Pie
- Key Lime Pie

- Crème brûlée (I have been planning on it but can’t find butane for my torch)

- Yellow cake with chocolate frosting (my mom made these a lot when I was little)
